Welcome to The Relativity Collective
Supporting Artists and Artisans Since 2015
Founded with the vision of empowering creative entrepreneurs, we aim to partner with female makers by elevating their artistic visions or artwork to market as their very own textile line—all while giving these artists full ownership. Through the Relativity Collective, we provide guidance and support in building a sustainable business as a working artist.

Reimagining What's Possible
6 months to launch program
Our done for you Launch Program is a step-by-step process where we meet with you for an hour every week to discuss your artwork, how to make it print-ready, branding, marketing, public relations, photography – everything it takes to launch a collection. We are trying to remove the barrier to entry for aspiring textile brands.
Artists Who Thrive
The Relativity Collective was designed for seasoned and emerging creatives ready to invest in themselves and their work through a business partnership rather than licensing their art with other brands.
We want to form a relationship deeply rooted in collaboration where you remain the owner and CEO of your art and brand. Using this model of togetherness, we’ll assist you from an idea to launching your textile line in six months through detailed planning, ongoing support, marketing, and dedication. Our founder Erin Minckley will also share personalized guidance and recommendations throughout the design and manufacturing process. We’ll help elevate your business by introducing you to our audience and the greater design marketplace by promoting your work in our online shop, through our social media channels, and in our Chicago showroom.
We aim to create an economy of thriving artists with sustainable businesses who feel valued and empowered to share their work with the world and succeed in doing what they love.

Words From the Artists
What Others Are Saying
“Relativity Textiles has debuted its first artist collaboration as part of a new initiative called Relativity Collective—a series designed to empower female creatives to explore new mediums.”
"Erin offered more than I even imagined I needed. Her success in textiles was a huge draw, especially from a business standpoint. Her access to the industry gave me a platform to start from, rather than starting from scratch. By learning from her experiences, I’ve been able to skip unnecessary steps and focus on what is most important to create a successful business."
-- Celia Carstens, owner of Found & Form
Now, we can include many different styles of art, and empower several female entrepreneurs. My goal is to help smaller makers become financially independent by helping them develop successful product lines.

Have a Few More Questions?
We understand this is a unique offering and you may still be curious about a few things. Below are more details on the Relativity Collective program. Please reach out with any lingering questions, and we’ll be happy to help.
We typically ask each artist commits to a partnership with Relativity Collective for a minimum of 3-5 years. This ensures that the artists who join are serious about growing their business and ready to put forth the dedication needed to see it succeed.
Yes, we ask each artist to make a five-figure investment when joining Relativity Collective. This cost goes towards the labor, manufacturing, creation and launch of your textile collection, along with the marketing to promote it.
We aim to have 12 artists in the Relativity Collective program.
No. Because we’re not licensing or buying your artwork from you, you’ll receive the full amount of profits from your artwork when it’s purchased.
No. After the initial investment is made to join Relativity Collective, we’ll not be taking any additional fees.
Absolutely. One of the greatest benefits of joining this program is that you’ll work closely with the founder of Relativity Textiles, Erin Minckley. She’ll be there to offer 1:1 support and mentorship throughout your time in Relativity Collective.
Relativity Textiles is our internationally recognized textiles company bringing hand-screen and digitally printed wallpaper, fabrics, rugs and artwork to interior designers, architects, and homeowners alike.
The Relativity Collective services as a community of creatives and artists ready to expand their work into another art medium: textiles. Through this program, we’ll guide you in launching your collection and selling it through the Relativity Textiles storefront to introduce you to our audience and get you in the door with like-minded industry professionals.
Yes! The beauty of Relativity Collective is that we love working with all artists and all of their varying art forms and expertise. If your medium isn’t textiles (even if you don’t make art at all but you want to have a product line), we’ll work together to develop a series of artworks and a correspondingtextile line that honors your artistic style and upholds your creative vision from ideation and samples to finished fabrics and wallpaper.
Each artist will receive monthly deposits for the profits they’ve made through Relativity Textiles.
